Mar 17th 2001 - Ottawa (CYOW) - Quebec City (CYQB)
Finally, a really nice flight was going to happen. The weather-briefer confirmed VFR conditions so I filed a flight-plan from Ottawa to Quebec City. The routing via VHF airways:
yow-v360-ymx-v360-ufx-v316-yqb

I managed to stay right on track all the way to Quebec City. On the right you can see the loop for the downtown-sightseeing-tour before landing in YQB. On the way back I go a little bit off course before reaching UFX ... I'm wondering why :)
No, the pride of our single-engine planes CVO wasn't the ride today. There would be another day for that. You get a glimpse of the club-building though:
Takeoff from runway 22, right-turn to intercept v360 - passing over Ottawa downtown clad in white:
So after almost 2 hours a quick descend to a comfortable 2000' and a fabulous look at the Citadelle and the Chateau Frontenac:
There are a few Quebec City pictures in the non-flying section of this site.
At around 2100 it was time to step back into the cockpit again and head home. By the way, parking is included in the gas-price :)
